What the extension does

When you click the extension button on a Power BI or Microsoft Fabric report tab, it reads the contents of the Copilot chat currently shown on that page (your questions, Copilot’s answers, and any result tables) and writes them into an Excel (.xlsx) file that is downloaded to your device.

Data handling

• No data collection. The extension does not gather analytics, telemetry, or usage data.
• No transmission. No information is sent to the developer or to any third party. There are no external servers involved; the Excel file is generated entirely in your browser using a bundled library.
• No storage. The extension does not retain the chat contents after the Excel file is produced. The only output is the file saved to your device, which is under your control.
• Permissions. The extension requests access to Power BI / Fabric report pages (app.powerbi.com, app.fabric.microsoft.com) solely to read the on-page Copilot chat when you activate it, and the scripting/activeTab permissions to perform that read on the active tab.
